In Landon's first couple months on this earth, he has lived through both an Earthquake and a Hurricane….WOW! We decided to stay put for Hurricane Irene, which was a great idea, until 5:30am on Saturday (before storm even hit) and our power goes out……. We are now coming up on 48 hours without power and I can easily say…. it ain't our cup of tea. This family likes electronics.. ha!

The Hurricane rolled in with a bang… literally…. we lost a huge branch in the back that fell directly onto a cable line connected to our house. John was able to inspect it and we left it until this morning (after the storm). John also scored us a generator right before the storm started, which came in handy today running our fridge and a light and of course the magically tv for Landon (or should I say for daddy & mommy). Although, little man doesn't really like being hot (no AC without power) he is being a champ and is entertaining himself with all of his battery powered fun things.

Earthquake of 2011

We survived…haha… and this picture just seemed appropriate :) Landon was actually staying with his NanNan during the earthquake that hit. He and his NanNan ran from the house when it started shaking. Of course, we don't think little guy even understood what was happening, he probably thought it was his bouncy seat :)

Landon's First Night in his Big Boy Room

Mommy and Daddy seemed a bit more worried about this step than Landon….. and in normal Landon form, he rocked it :) We kept him up a bit later than normal (worrying about how to put him in.. haha) and when we did put him down, he talked for a bit then crashed. He woke up and came to cuddle in our room around 7:45 this morning…. we think he likes being a big boy.

Landon's 9 Week Doctor Appointment

Little man had his 9 week appointment today and wow- he is so big! He weighed in at 12 pounds and 9 ounces and was 23 1/2 inches long :) He did have shots today… and of course mommy took pictures….
