First Day of Daycare

Today was Landon's first day of Daycare and he loved it.  He laughed the whole way there and then went right into Miss Joyce's arms.  Some pictures from the day…

Big Boy Food…. the first step to solids…..

The Lentivech family has had a solid week of adventures.  We went 6 days without power, which we decided our family does not do very well.. ha!  Then Landon stayed home with Granna (thanks Granna) and John and I ventured to Raleigh for Jess and Gerry's wedding (which was beautiful!).  Now we are home and getting organized because tomorrow is Landon's first day at Daycare (and Mommy's first day back in the real world - ha!!)  With all this going on, little man has made it clear to us that he is ready to start moving towards solid foods.  So today we started with his rice cereal mix after his bottle.  The pictures really say it all, but I'll sum it up by saying … he obviously likes his food :)

Hurricane Irene

In Landon's first couple months on this earth, he has lived through both an Earthquake and a Hurricane….WOW!  We decided to stay put for Hurricane Irene, which was a great idea, until 5:30am on Saturday (before storm even hit) and our power goes out…….  We are now coming up on 48 hours without power and I can easily say…. it ain't our cup of tea.  This family likes electronics.. ha!

The Hurricane rolled in with a bang… literally…. we lost a huge branch in the back that fell directly onto a cable line connected to our house.  John was able to inspect it and we left it until this morning (after the storm).  John also scored us a generator right before the storm started, which came in handy today running our fridge and a light and of course the magically tv for Landon (or should I say for daddy & mommy).  Although, little man doesn't really like being hot (no AC without power) he is being a champ and is entertaining himself with all of his battery powered fun things.
